The Violet Crown Trail is officially reopened following the rains and dangerous conditions they created. Still, be cautious as there may still be muddy areas and debris on the trail.
Due to high water and muddy terrain, the trail is temporarily closed. We’ll let you know when it’s safe to reopen!
The bridge on the Violet Crown Trail at the Barton Creek Greenbelt near mile marker 3.25 has been washed out. Please take this into consideration when you plan your trip to the Trail. HCC is working with partners to engineer and make plans for a new bridge which will make this section of trail passable – stay tuned for updates. …
